GVEP Light Switch Plate Project

Thank you to Genesee Valley Educational Partnership for providing one-of-a-kind light switch covers to be sold in ReStore!

WEST provides opportunities for high school students to navigate the world of work by developing career awareness, exploration, and preparation through participation in community-based based work experiences. These placements are invaluable in teaching hard and soft job skills in actual work environments under the supervision of work-site employees/supervisors and GVEP staff. Learning job specific expectations while improving interpersonal skills, communication, teamwork, and problem solving abilities are among the aptitudes students gain while directly engaged in community job experiences. In addition, students develop personal job interests and recognize potential employment opportunities through direct participation at the worksite.
