Donating to the Habitat ReStore helps raise funds to transform communities and improve lives right here in Genesee County. Learn more about what you can donate by clicking on the links below!

ReStore FAQs

Restore is a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center that sells new and gently used goods at a fraction of the retail cost.

ReStore offers great low prices for amazing items! More than that, your purchases support Habitat’s mission.  Proceeds from Restore sales help finance construction costs of our current build site.

Donations are accepted on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00am -12pm as well as during store hours on Saturdays from 9:00am – 3:00pm!

Yes, Restore offers free pick ups of donations on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays! Some limitations may apply depending on the amount of items picked up for donation and location.

Acceptable Donation Items

  • Microwave Ovens
  • Refrigerators
  • Freezers
  • Stoves (electric or gas)
  • Washers & Dryers (electric or gas)

Kitchen and Bathroom cabinets in sets or individual pieces.  Must not have any structural or water damage.

  • Sliding Patio Doors

Vinyl Windows only, No Wooden Windows

Should include the sashes installed in the frames.

  • Fiberglass Bathtubs (no cracks)
  • Pedestal and Drop-In Bathroom Sinks
  • Stainless Steel Kitchen Sinks

Must be free of stains, cracks, peeling or damaged finishes, excessive wear or animal damage.

  • Bedroom Furniture including Bed Frames, Headboards, Footboards, Dressers, and Nightstands
  • Book Shelves
  • Chairs
  • Loveseats
  • Ottomans
  • Recliners
  • Sofas
  • Coffee Tables
  • Dining Room Furniture
  • Office Furniture

We DO NOT ACCEPT Box Springs or Mattresses, including Sofa Beds.

  • Area rugs must be free from visible wear, tear, stains or animal smells or damage.
  • Carpet remnants in excellent condition with no visible wear, tear, stains, animal smells or damage.
  • Carpet Runners
  • Hardwood Flooring at least 30 square feet in quantity
  • Vinyl and Ceramic Tile quantity must be at least 30 square feet in excellent condition. No chipped, cut or broken pieces will be accepted.

Hinges, nails, screws, fasteners, hangers, connectors, etc.

Residential electric items only. No Commercial.

  • AC Window Units in good working condition
  • Insulation (rolls only)
  • Mirrors (must be framed)

  • Shutters
  • Trim & Molding must be a minimum of 5 feet in length
  • NEW Blinds ONLY
